Been looking at Daily Fantasy Basketball Projections since last night, and while the MIA/NJ and ORL/CHA games both look juicy, I worry that they’ll end up as blowouts and if you’re paying money for Wade/Bosh/Howard you’re not going to get Value. Because of this, for a 6 game day I think lineups are actually pretty tough to throw together.
Daily Fantasy Basketball Studs
Pau Gasol
The Lakers are actually starting to play fairly efficiently over their last 5 games(excluding Kobe of course)and a big part of that has been Pau Gasol re-asserting himself in the offense. Expect a big night from him vs Jason Maxiell who is only 6-7, while Greg Monroe is occupied with Bynum. Over their last 5 games DET is the 29th ranked team in Defensive Efficiency vs PF’s.
Kobe Bryant
Kobe goes up against the 23rd ranked vs SG defense in the league tonight… Yeah needless to say we expect big things from the Masked Mamba. With the Lakers offense finally gaining an identity, Kobe’s been able to get some better offensive looks and continues to get to the line around 10 times a game. He’s literally the definition of sure thing in Daily Fantasy Basketball.
Brandon Bass
Since moving KG to the 5 and inserting Bass in the starting lineup, Boston’s actually started to get production from their frontcourt. I like both KG and Bass tonight vs Houston, but Bass has the better overall matchup from a Daily Fantasy Basketball perspective as Houston has the 23rd ranked defense vs PF’s over the last 10 games. The best part is he’s still a value play on DraftDay and other sites with a very reasonable salary. He’s consistently crossed that 20 pt barrier in almost every start he’s gotten.

Iam Mahinimi
Brendan Haywood was knocked out of last nights contest with a sprained Ankle, and Mahinimi stepped in and scored 13 pts with 5 boards and 2 blocks. With an already thin frontline for Dallas, expect him to get heavy minutes tonight. Expect a ton of people to play Dwight tonight in Daily Fantasy Basketball, soyou might gain some advantage by throwing him in a lineup and putting your money to use elsewhere.
Bismack Biyombo
This is the definition of a risky play tonight. It’s offset by the Bargain Basement price you can get him at currently, and the fact that he’ll definitely get a ton of minutes tonight with the thin frontline for the Bobcats. He is fancing the Dwight, but he’s long, athletic, and actually has a better offensive game then I 1st thought. I don’t think it would be a shocker to see him hit beween 17-24 fantasy pts tonight which would more then justify the selection.
Corey Maggette
The risk in Daily Fantasy Basketball for Maggette doesn’t come from his scoring as he’s scored at least 17 in this last 3 games. It’s from his FG % in a format like DraftDay’s that penalizes you for missed shot attempts. That being said on a thin night for value plays, he appears like a lock for 20 points vs Orlando’s 20th ranked defense vs the Small Forward spot.
